David Cook
I paint and make prints. The two compliment each other.
Working in the Yorkshire Dales dictates, to some degree, that much of my interest involves the landscape in which I live.
Currently my work is becoming less concerned with recording images and places in a topographical way and is more about using surroundings as a beginning point for the development of more abstract themes and interpretations.
I use a variety of media and mixed media, drypoint, etching, collagraph, imagon and carborundum.
I have exhibited my prints at various venues and international Biennials including Print and Drawing Exhibit. Taipie. Taiwan. Space Group Korea, 1st International Biennale. Maastricht, Freemantle Australia and The Royal Society of Painters Etchers and Engravers.
